Acer Aspire One tips:

  • Disable/enable touchpad:  Fn + F7
  • Brighten/darken screen: Fn + Right Arrow
  • Screen flickering? Try to adjust the Display options. Still won't steady? See warranty info in next bullet.
  • Battery won't charge? Refer to warranty information and send it back in to Acer (it's easy-go on web site and print a return ticket)

Important! For the folks who attended the Region 1 session in Richmond on March 24, you need to follow these steps to turn your Acer Aspire One's microphones on:

Click: START

Click: RUN

Type:  MSCONFIG

Click:  STARTUP tab.

Uncheck : "RTHDCPL"

RESTART

For fun I have enjoyed the golf game. For use with students I really like the Balabolka test to speech software.
I have used the portable Apps on several locations and different types of computers. I have found not barrirriers with hardware at this point. I look forward to doing some work with students this summer. Tammy Ritenour
