What are the qualities of a good writer?

Good voice--flows well.  Supporting details. Definite beginning, middle and end.  Coherent. Organized. Transitions between paragraphs. No grammatical errors.  Legible.  Puncuation is correct.  Stick to the subject.

 

What are the qualities of a struggling writer?

Does not stay on topic.  Sentence fragments.  Limited puncuation.  Difficulty spelling.  Repetitive sentences, thoughts.  Legibility.  Limited vocabulary.  Planning does not seem to exist. Rambling. Very frustrated. Generating the topic is difficult.  Not fluid; choppy.
